Columbia River Paddling Season Is On!

Springtime in the Gorge is in full swing. After a weekend of crazy hot, calm days (perfect for paddling) we’re looking forward to a little cool down this week. Forecasts are calling for cooler temps and we’re calling for some river exploration!

Paddling out into the Gorge

We’ve been seeing wildflowers popping up in all of the best spots, the surrounding hills are lush and green, and every little creek and river is pumping! At WhatSUP Kayaking, we’re especially stoked to see so much variety of flora all around Waucoma Basin and Wells Island; our little slice of the Columbia. If you’re interested in all of the Gorge’s natural wonders, now is the perfect time of year to be paddling around the Columbia! We got some new Immersion Research splash tops and pants, so even if the sky is grey and the wind’s a-blowing, you can still get out and paddle.
